{"id":786,"date":"2009-10-04T08:54:57","date_gmt":"2009-10-04T14:54:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.meadowhill.net\/?p=786"},"modified":"2009-10-05T10:59:51","modified_gmt":"2009-10-05T16:59:51","slug":"minutes-special-board-meeting-september-22-2009","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/meadowhill.net\/?p=786","title":{"rendered":"Minutes: Special Board Meeting September 22, 2009"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"center\"><strong>Meadow Hill  Inc<br \/>\n<\/strong>Board of Directors  Meeting<br \/>\nSept. 22,  2009<br \/>\n8:30 am @ the  Hollister House<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong>Special  Meeting<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Those Present: <\/strong>J.Goselin, L.Weeks,  L.May, I.Adamson, J.Trustey, J.Harris<\/p>\n<p><strong>Topics  Discussed<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0  <strong>Speed bumps<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Board members are in  agreement that the speed bumps need to be removed.Complaints from residents  include the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Noise<\/li>\n<li>Too severe<\/li>\n<li>Ineffective<\/li>\n<li>Walkers have tripped<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A decision  was made by the Board to investigate other designs as soon as possible and  possibly buy a snow plow adapted to remove snow around speed  bumps.<\/p>\n<p>2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0  <strong>Pest<\/strong><strong> Control  Contract<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The following  decisions were made:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The BOD to have a copy of all  contracts.<\/li>\n<li>A  termination of convenience clause in contracts.<\/li>\n<li>Check with APM if we can terminate a contract without a  penalty.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0  <strong>Arborist  Contract<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The BOD will do a walk \u201caround\u201d on 9..29 @  1pm<\/li>\n<li>Siding is being affected by over grown  shrubbery.<\/li>\n<li>Revisit contract with  Westside<\/li>\n<li>How much can we expect our maintenance crew to do in  regard to landscaping projects.<\/li>\n<li>Do  we need to hire an Arborist?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0  <strong>Age Restriction  Directive<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>An  insert for all Meadow Hill resale packages.<\/li>\n<li>The BOD has the right to evict anyone under the age of  55.<\/li>\n<li>Send a letter to attorney Peter Alter to inform him that  we have retained another attorney to represent Meadow Hill.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li> <strong> <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>5. <\/strong><strong>Road Signs<\/strong> <strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Luther will present a proposal to the BOD next month as  to new street signs for Hollister Way North  and South.<strong> <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>6. <\/strong><strong>Other  Business<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A  spot light has been installed at the flag pole.<\/li>\n<li>A  motion was made and seconded to deny the request by unit owner #76 to remove the  #76 numerals from the signage board located nearest her unit and place them on  the signage board nearest her parking space. All in  favor.<\/li>\n<li>A  motion was made and seconded to\u00a0 reimburse unit owner #19  $500.00, the amount of his insurance deductible. All in  favor.<\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0 Board discussed and tabled concerns\u00a0 that the color  of some doors and windows do not conform to Meadow Hill  rules.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Luther presented an example of a notebook that he would  like to see presented to all owners. The notebook would contain the By-Laws and  Declarations of the Meadow Hill Association A vote will take place at the BOD  meeting next month.<\/li>\n<li>Club House<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><p>1 Do we need  to replace drapes at the Club House.<br \/>\n2. Is it  feasible to clean the drapes<br \/>\n3. Cost of  cleaning the drapes<br \/>\n4.The Board  expects that the Amenities Committee will provide a proposal or options for  replacing the blinds.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li>The amenities committee will meet to elect a  chairman.<\/li>\n<li>The BOD agreed to purchase a used movie projector and  screen offered by Laurie Lemrise at a cost of  $200.00.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A motion was made and seconded to adjourn  the meeting at 11:30.
