Snow Procedures

Parking:When accumulating snow is expected, please move your car away from the outside area parking areas next to garages before the storm begins. Avoid parking at the 3 spaces in the island by the Clubhouse. Mike and Darien want to keep the parking areas as clean as possible. Also, don’t ever park in front of garage doors.

Door mats. Remember to remove any entrance mat, as it can be drawn into the snowblower and cause damage, or shred your mat.

Heating cables. If you have them, roof heating cables should be turned on when snow starts falling.

Westside presentation on future landscape options

On Sept 10th, Mike Hodges of Westside gave a presentation to the Grounds Committee at their request. Please note that this is not a recommendation of Westside or represent a plan endorsed by the Grounds Committee or Executive Board.

Westside’s Mike Hodges column

Even with the recent rainfall we are still more than 6 inches in deficit of rain fall. Not conducive to lawns or plant material in general. I have been in the horticultural industry for 20 plus years and I cannot remember such fluctuations in environmental conditions. That being said, the board after much conversation, research and considering my recommendations has decided not to go ahead with any large scale fall seeding.
