When your issue is a routine inquiry, service, or a maintenance request, APM would like you to call during normal business hours and speak with the administrative staff professional for our community. The APM Receptionist / Operator will direct your call.
The Manager can be reached if the matter is urgent but may be out of the office at properties or meeting with vendors and contractors servicing communities. In either case you can be assured that we will get your message if you leave a voice mail.
If there is an after hours emergency situation affecting your unit which you feel requires APM to send maintenance staff immediately, then the emergency after hours/weekend service should be reached by calling APM’s main telephone number (860-657-8981) where you will get instructions on placing an emergency call. The emergency service is staffed 24/7 and they can reach our property maintenance Supervisor or the Manager if necessary. However, it is very important to understand that these calls are billed to us at a time-& -one-half rate and will result in significant costs to the association. They should only be made if a situation cannot wait until normal business hours.
Also, after hours or weekends calls to lodge complaints (an improperly parked car, a neighbor’s dog, snow removal, etc.) are automatically referred out by the answering service. The role of the service is only to take the message and information you provide and to make the necessary contact for you. The answering service cannot make decisions about the nature of your call. When your emergency call reaches the property superintendent, a decision will then be made whether a response is needed or the actions necessary thereafter.
There are many situations where the appropriate first call is to civil authorities. These include criminal activity, disturbances of the peace, domestic issues, medical situations, fire, suspicious activity, etc. The management company should not be expected to respond as would civil authorities. You should call the appropriate civil authorities, like any other residential homeowner.
Lastly, while we prefer to speak to you in person, occasionally APM receives E-mails from owners with no association name, unit number, owner name, or phone # included.

For the past year I have suffered the inconvenience of having to brush against the large bush that has begun to grow into my parking space which as you know is directly outside my unit. Please call our landscaping contractor to have him come out and cut back this bush so it no longer touches my car. Thank you for your immediate attention to this serious concern.
APM cannot determine who you are from an e-mail address alone. We will log your message if we can determine who you are, but we cannot engage in e-mail dialogue to discuss issues. Please call us.
