When we watch the television news, read the papers, peruse the latest magazines, and try to understand the latest words from the latest commentator, we find ouselves in a maelstrom.
We feel inundated with reports of natural and manmade disastors,people around the world in combat,hunger,devistation,suffering, and malaise.
But this past Saturday afternoon, at the Club House temporarily all the the thoughts of devistation disapated, and were quickly replaced by socialability, many smiles, pleasantness, laughter, and the wonderful gift of being together with nice neighbors.
The efforts of the Committee, the absolute cooperation of all the guests bringing the food so carefully and finely created to be enjoyed and shared by all.
Then all worked ensemble to leave the Club House bright and cheerful at the end, so we may again in the future enjoy the pleasure of another day.
That Saturday was a wonderful microcosm of that which we all hope for, the warmth of friendship and neighborliness…A Real,True Gift!!!!
