DIAL A RIDE
This service is a local in-town transit service for residents who are without other means of necessary daytime travel. This option is for Glastonbury residents age 60 or older and for residents with a medical disability. Service is offered Monday, Wednesday, Friday with limited services on Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; Tuesday, Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with exception of Town Holidays and closings due to inclement weather. The number to call is 860-652-7643 a day before service is needed between 8:00 and 11:00 a.m.
FISH
FISH (Friends in Service Here) is a transportation service for out-of-town medical appointments or medical appointments within Glastonbury for persons unable to use Dial-A-Ride due to special circumstances. Reservations must be made at least one morning before the ride is required. Transportation is provided by volunteers in their own cars, at no charge. The service is available Tuesday through Friday, within a certain geographic area. FISH is unable to take wheelchairs. The number to call is 860-647-3911 for reservations and more information.
DYNTEK
This is for transportation to medical appointments provided for persons on the Medicaid (Title 19) program. The number to call is 1-888-743-3112.
A.D.A. TRANSPORTATION -CT TRANSIT
This is a Door-to-Door transportation service for persons unable to use regular CT Transit bus service. User’s pickup address and destination must be within ADA service area. Service operates 7 days per week, during same hours as regular bus service. The charge is $2.50 each way payable at time of ride. If personal care assistant is required, that person rides for free. Pre-registration is required before the ride request will be honored. Applications available through ADA office or the Glastonbury Human Services office.
