Update: Darien adds,
- If you shut off your water, be sure and open a couple of faucets for both hot and cold water to take the pressure out of the pipes.
- If you cannot shut off then constantly dripping a couple of faucets both hot and cold can help prevent freezing
**************************
Weather services are forecasting a storm that could start Monday Afternoon and continue through Wednesday Morning. Snow accumulation could be 20″ to 30″, with high winds.
Be aware that it is likely that your sidewalk may not be clear until very late on Wednesday night.
Be prepared for extended loss of power, phone, and heat. If heat is lost, please close the main water valve serving your unit.
If you have a problem because you cannot get out, lack of power, etc. please, if possible, let a neighbor or maintenance know.
Additional Ways You Can Help Today
- If you have a garage that is empty, please let neighbors know so that they can park a car in your garage.
- If you have a neighbor with an empty garage, please let them know about this request – they may not be on the email list.
- If possible move cares and avoid parking in lots with garages on two or three sides. The maintenance staff needs as much room as possible in those lots to put snow, and to maneuver to remove snow form the lots.
Thank you.
