A view of Meadow Hill seen through the eyes of an 8 year old granddaughter of Betsy Hamilton.
Grandma’s Neighborhood
Out the door, around the circle, We skip from tree to tree.
This is Grandma’s neighborhood, the happiest place we’ll ever see.
Now down a little, through the houses, we find a little barn. This is Grandma’s neighborhood,
The best place ever found.
Go down the hill, the grassy hill, and pass the horses’ pen. This is Grandma’s neighborhood.
As quiet as it’s ever been.
Now cross the stream, see the garden, And go to the beach of the river. This is Grandma’s neighborhood, Boring? Never ever!
Soon I go back to my Grandma’s home, As cozy as it is. I tell her all about the trip, Knowing that I’ll go again!
