Amenities Committee – CleanUp Day, Hollister House Refrigerator

At the May Amenities Committee meeting, we approved the purchase of a new portable refrigerator and a new kitchen unit (stove top, sink, and refrigerator) for the Hollister House. We hope improvements to the Hollister House will help bolster the rental and use of the building. The purchase was approved by the Board of Directors.

Ann D’Auria came up with the idea of having a “Clean-Up Day”. On Tuesday, June 9, each Meadow Hill resident can bring two items (per unit) that they would like to discard, to a designated area at the Maintenance Building. Darien and Tim will then take the items to the Transfer Station using the Meadow Hill pick-up truck and the Meadow Hill Transfer Station Permit. You must bring the items to the designated area on the afternoon of the 8th or by 10:00 a.m. on the 9th. There are some restrictions for the items such as no refrigerators or sleeper sofas, etc. A good rule of thumb is that it can’t be too heavy or too bulky for Darien or Tim to lift. If a piece is to cumbersome for some of our residents to carry to the area themselves, please ask a neighbor or family member to help. Darien and Tim WILL NOT be stopping to pick up items from your unit. We will do another “Clean-Up Day” in October.
